David helps Latitude clients regain comfort and mobility in their bodies, and we couldn’t be happier to have him as part of the team! His unique style that mixes a corrective bodywork approach with finding balance in the body is what keeps his clients coming back.

David often begins sessions fully clothed to address restrictions in the body and activate neuromuscular release through active and passive range of motion and resistance techniques. When booking a neuromuscular cupping massage, you can expect him to bring to the table his expertise and ability to create a plan that works best for you.

✨Welcome, Sami!✨

Our newest massage therapist, has entered the house!

Sami’s approach is grounded in presence and loving awareness. Guided by the wisdom of each client’s body, she provides a safe space for the nervous system to find deep rest and balance. Her practice draws upon over a decade of studies in the holistic healing arts and her Buddhist path of practice.

Sami graduated from the Pacific Center of Awareness and Bodywork on the island of Kauai, HI in 2016. A steady student, she is over halfway through a 2-year biodynamic craniosacral practitioner training where she is learning to work with the more subtle systems of the fluid body.

She has studied deep tissue, structural integration, connective tissue, Thai massage, Ashiatsu, craniosacral, and trigger point therapies. Her sessions are an integrative blend of these techniques, depending on the clients needs.

✨Welcome to the Latitude fam, Kelsy!✨

Many of you have already met Kelsy at the studio, but we thought we’d officially introduce our lovely new weekend receptionist! She graduated from the North Texas School of Swedish Massage in 2018, shortly before thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, which is what led her to wind up here in the foothills of Virginia. Her favorite ways to spend her days are going to the climbing gym, hiking, reading (primarily non-fiction), woodworking, and playing music.

About

Susan is a Licensed Massage Therapist in Charlottesville, VA and specializes in Thai and prenatal massage.

Her passion for holistic wellness began in 2012 when she attended yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India. In 2013, she took her first Thai massage course with Ariela Grodner and knew she wanted to deepen her practice.

Susan, a trained and experienced birth Doula, certified in Baby Massage Instruction and Holistic Massage in Ireland. In 2017 she completed an additional massage program at American Spirit Institute in Williamsburg, VA.

Her dedication to providing truly holistic bodywork led her to begin a serious study of Thai massage with Jill Burynski in North Carolina and Homprang Chaleekanha, Doctor of Traditional Thai Medicine, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Continuing education is an important part of her practice, as she believes there is an infinite amount to learn and implement to provide the best for her clients and community.
