Congratulations RoseWood Village for raising over $3500 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Due to the Bake and Craft Sale and donations from residents, families, and team members, RoseWood Village exceeded their donation goal of $2500. Thank you to the team members and families who walked with Team RoseWood at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Charlottesville on Sunday, October 26th.

What a spooktacular Halloween party we had for our Assisted Living and Cottage resident with DJ Josh Urban! Residents loved the creepy cake, Monster Mash punch, games, pumpkin decorating competition, and costumes! We had an explorer, a butterfly, a wolf nurse, a hippie, a witch, Big Bird, a cat, and a ghost enthusiast! Can you tell which is which? Congratulations to Martha for winning the pumpkin decorating contest with Wicked Witch, and to Marty and Betty for winning second and third prizes, respectively.

In honor of Halloween, Assisted Living residents decorated orange and green cups to look like monsters! Then, we made chocolate, malt milk shakes and put them in the cups for Monster Malt Milkshakes! Residents loved reminiscing about the drug stores and restaurants they frequented when they were kids that served malt shakes.

RoseWood Village Greenbrier raised over $900.00 to donate to the Alzheimer's Association through their Bake and Craft Sale. Residents, team members, families, and volunteers baked delicious treats and made beautiful hats, scarves, blankets, nature cards, and wreaths to sell to raise funds. Thank you to all of the members of the community who participated! The end of Alzheimer's starts with YOU!
