🎉 What a Show! JREC Community Showcase Recap!
WOW! Our first-ever Community Showcase was an absolute smash hit! 🤩

A massive thank you to every single person who came out to the JREC Center. The energy in the room was electric!
The biggest round of applause goes to our incredible volunteers and performers! 🙏 Your dedication, rehearsal time, and sheer talent made this event unforgettable. You're the heart of our community, and we are so grateful for your willingness to share your gifts with us.

Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the immense sacrifices made by our nation's heroes.

We are incredibly grateful for the service of our JREC Veterans: Bob, Ron, Tom, Billy, and Jack. We appreciate the unique leadership and perspective you bring to our center.

Thank you for your bravery. We honor you and all Veterans today. 🫡

A huge, heartfelt thank you to all the amazing families who answered the call of the wild and joined us in our Enchanted Forest ! ✨

The woods truly came alive with the sound of laughter and the energy of all our guests. We loved sharing a wonderful event of Bingo (some real woodland strategists out there!), delicious forest feast food, and great family fun right here in our magical clearing.

You all brought the sparkle! We hope your journey home was as delightful as your time with us.

🎃 What a spooktacular season! 👻

First and foremost, a huge THANK YOU to the true heroes each and every day, our amazing chefs, Herbert and Marshall! Your hard work and delicious meals feed so many of us daily, and we are so grateful for everything you do. 🍳 We hope you enjoyed the boo baskets.

We also want to send a big appreciation to the fantastic Second Childhood band for providing the perfect soundtrack to our day! 🎶

Between the great music and food, we channeled our inner artists! We loved seeing everyone's creativity come to life while making Halloween headbands, decorating pumpkins, and putting together our silly, but delicious, Frankenstein treat!

What a week! 🎉 We kicked it off right with some seriously delicious pulled pork, lovingly prepared by our amazing chefs! 🧑‍🍳 Folks got to soak up some sunshine and great company while chatting with the Master Gardeners. 🌻But the fun didn't stop there! We powered through the rest of the week, and to celebrate making it to Friday, we indulged in the most adorable (and tasty!) pick-me-up: Sweet Treats of Teddy on a Stick from our incredible JABA Bakers! 🐻🧁

What an inspiring week we had celebrating the Hunter's Moon!

We channeled that beautiful lunar energy into a lively paint session. There's nothing quite like getting creative while surrounded by nature!

We were so incredibly grateful for the perfect, crisp autumn weather. It gave us the chance to soak up the sun, enjoy a few relaxing strolls, and breathe in that fresh air. Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to have this beautiful outdoor space.

On November 20th celebrate music’s ability to connect people at JABA’s Respite and Enrichment Center at JREC's Community Showcase. Volunteers, local entertainers, and members of the public are invited to share talent and show some community spirit. RSVP required.

Today was our Ports of Call Cruise Party at Hillsdale JREC. We had JABA Paradise Punch, made lei necklaces, and played games! Thank you to the JMU nursing students who came by and helped out in making today a great one for all the members.
