🚨❄️Due to the threat of inclement weather, the business office at Teague Funeral Service will remain closed today, Tuesday, February 11.

As always, if you experience a loss or are in need of assistance we will have staff available. Please call (434) 977-0005 if an emergency arises.

Please be mindful our timing may be a little longer than usual as our staff will travel with extreme caution should they need to travel.

We do plan to return to normal business hours on Wednesday, February 12. This will be reevaluated Wednesday morning.

Why isn’t everyone so jolly around the holidays?

Maybe they’re experiencing their first holiday season without their loved one.
Maybe that loved one was their person who made their holiday season special.
Maybe they’re experiencing a tragedy that will change their favorite time of the year for the rest of their life.
Maybe they lost their loved one 50 years ago on this very day and this time of the year is still challenging for them.
The sting of grief never fades. Be kind. Be patient. Be respectful of their space.

Office Manager

Darla serves as the Office Manager for Teague Funeral Service! She is an integral part of the day to day clerical operations at the Funeral Home! Darla has been in the industry for more than 13 years, spending her last 10+ with us at Teague! In her spare time, you can may see her out and about in Crozet! She loves to cook, create recipes, spend time outdoors and catching up with friends!

Next up in our “Meet the Staff” lineup is
Ryan Mancini
Assistant Manager and Dual Licensed Funeral Director in Virginia and North Carolina

Ryan Mancini is a native of Fluvanna County, graduating from Fluvanna County High School in 2008. In losing her grandfather, affectionately known to her as “Pop” in 2016, Ryan determined she would like to explore a career in the death care industry. Leading her to go to obtain a Mortuary Degree from Fayetteville Technical Community College. In addition to being the Assistant Manager at Teague Funeral Service, Ryan is also a dual-licensed Funeral Director in Virginia and North Carolina.
She serves her community as the President of the Shenandoah Valley Funeral Director Association and offers support when she can to her home church, Lake Christian Church in Fluvanna County. Ryan is committed to providing a compassionate and safe environment for families during their time of need. The transition from life to death is stressful and overwhelming. Ryan is here to walk families through these dark and overwhelming days.
When Ryan is not at Teague Funeral Service, you can find her out in the community with her family. She and her husband, Mark, a firefighter with Albemarle County Fire and Rescue, have two sons, Murphy and Stetson. They also have their beloved canine companion, Raleigh. If you happen to see Ryan and her family out, please do not hesitate to say, “Hello.”

Meet Our Staff-
First up, our fearless leader!
David Bashline
Location Manager and Dual Licensed Funeral Director, Virginia and Pennsylvania

David was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania and graduated from Fork Union Military Academy, Fork Union, VA. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Alderson-Broaddus University and his degree in Mortuary Science from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. David holds Funeral Service Licenses in both Virginia and Pennsylvania. David started his career in 1980 and joined the staff at Teague Funeral Service in 1987 and was instrumental with the installation of the funeral home and Charlottesville/Albemarle County’s first in house crematory. Since then he has been involved with the Virginia Funeral Directors Association, Shenandoah Valley Funeral Directors Association and Central Virginia Funeral Directors Association. David spent fifteen years traveling the East Coast doing Regulatory Compliance for funeral homes. David and his family call Albemarle County home.

Fun Fact- David serves his community by driving the train on Charlottesville’s Downtown Pedestrian Mall! Make sure to stop by and say, “hello!”
