Congratulations to Professor Stuart Berr, PhD, and Associate Professor Joseph Rispoli, PhD, who earned a Transformative Neuroscience Pilot Grant from the UVA Brain Institute this past November!

Their project aims to gather important preliminary data on integrated PET/MRI imaging, an important step for future high-impact PET/MRI neuroscience research.

Juliana Bueno, MD, professor of radiology and medical imaging, has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Susan Kirk Excellence in GME Mentorship Award. This honor highlights Dr. Bueno’s dedication to educating and mentoring residents and fellows. She currently serves as vice chair of education for UVA Radiology and previously led the department as program director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency. Congratulations to Dr. Bueno on this well-deserved recognition.
