Support Your Local Artist was founded or evolved in late 2010 and early 2011 by Steve King in developing his Celebrities and Other Noteable Persons Album on his Face Book Page as part of his description of Charlottesville, VA. It was found to be easier to locate and assimilate the desired information for www.SteveKingRealtor.com and is also part of the link from that page to the album. The artist that currently call their home Charlottesville, VA or have done so at some time in their lives, is really unbelieveable. At the time no one had the title on facebook nor domain that I know of until recently..so I have set up this site to insure that you have the orginal idea of my campaiign for local artist and those that may not be local that deserve some attention. I have just now been able to set up a domain website: http://www.SupportYourLocalArtist.org - the .com site was already set up at quite a premium price. Remember...out there to not procrastinate...it will cost you, as others will step in if you do not follow through. I am flattered that some others out there have caught on to the idea as well and may be helping artist in their own areas. Even before moving to Charlottesville, VA some 11 years ago, I have recognized that this very small town/city was home of the University of Virginia and it's renowned Hospital, along of course with Monticello and our past founding father and President - Thomas Jefferson. But after arriving and over the years have discoverd that they are the corner stones of this magneficiant and historical place. Thomas Jefferson and all of our founding fathers of the Unitied States of America would still be proud of Charlottesville, VA, in it's fostering a climate of social, philosophical, political, historical, intillectural, medical, arthictectural, design, development, classical, writings, oratorical, artistic, musical and creative atmosphere into the modern day elements and mediums that we have today. A place that fosters intellect, creativity and congenialty of days long gone by unfortunately in most places of our America.
