Hi, here with an intro.
I’m Cora, LMT, 500hr Yoga & Pilates instructor, teaching for nearly 2 decades, offering a challenging yet playful blend of strengthening & relaxation; with the goals of current & long term stability, mobility, comfort & ease.
I teach numerous styles of yoga, in an accessible & trauma sensitive way. I am Pilates trained, with backgrounds in both Stott Pilates, the 500 hr contemporary Club Pilate training & Classic Pilates reformer certified. I include mat & equipment based Pilates in my client work.
Additionally, I am a trained & certified accessible yoga teacher & ambassador for The Accessible Yoga Organization. I hold two certifications in Thai Yoga Bodywork & acroyoga therapeutics.
I am currently continuing my education in a massage program that aligns with my anatomy, physiology & kinesiology fascinations & will greatly enhance & increase what I can offer to clients, & staff & patients at the hospital & medical offices that I work in now.
I’m excited to learn & understand more to make these practices most beneficial & to participate in the discovery of ways to find enjoyment, comfort & peace as one is in the moment.
I have instructed in studios, parks, schools, hospitals, weddings & events, federal & corporate settings, for medical research, at a local Inn, in an assisted living community, you name it.
A curiosity of the ways in which the body works was ignited with my own childhood health challenges & multiple surgeries, including full and partial removal of some muscles. In a time when pediatric physical therapy was not a thing, understanding my own movements required investigation & self learning. I enjoy the dive deep of research & experience to understand the uniqueness of the people I work with.
While raising my daughters, I ran an award winning childcare business for 20+ years, while also yoga instructing for 10 of those years.
Now, while I’m not working or in school/ studying, I am cherishing time with my 2 grand-babes, being outdoors, hiking, movement in many forms & sometimes taking/ not teaching the occasional class.
Otherwise, I’m probably dreaming of the beach, a cleaner planet, a less jaw clenching environment over all & for every body, & working on embracing slowing down & less hustle time.
