It’s January 1!
I know there is nothing actually different about this day BUT for me I love the first of the year, month, week and day. It’s a natural reset.
You will see all sorts of resolutions and goals posted and I LOVE IT! The only problem is that so many industries capitalize on this and only about 30% or less of people will still be shooting for those goals by mid-February.
And yes the fitness and diet industry is one of these. As a part of this industry I can tell you that most trainers, coaches etc do NOT want you to FAIL. WE WANT YOU TO A
SUCEED!
Say what you want about fitness programs, facilities etc BUT trainers themselves do not make money off people who fail! We make money by helping people succeed and helping you be in that 30%. If you have a trainer that doesn’t feel this way - it’s time to find a new one.
I’m all for you having weight loss, fat loss, health goals - whatever you want! No matter what your goal is, I will always want you to do it in a healthy manner and that’s my JOB!
I have my own goals this year and am looking forward to feeling like my body is somewhat mine again. I have been pregnant or nursing Mackenzie for 20 months. While I’m still nursing her (and for me this does not equal any sort of weight loss) I am looking forward to being more myself again.
Weight loss goals get a lot of shade these days and we aren’t supposed to “focus on weight” BUT the reality is that my goals contain weight loss gaols along with body composition goals and if your goal is to look and feel better that’s OK!
Happy new year friends! I’m back on here after much needed time away over the last year and ready to give you real, science backed information to help you w**d through the mess that’s out there!
