THE WHAT:
Great news! Beginning May 20th, UVA Medcom began preregistering EMS arrivals. We have also updated the EMS Arrival Board.

THE WHY:
This change is intended to help improve preparedness prior to patient arrival and reduce bottlenecks that slow down your return to service time.

THE ASK:
When calling Medcom by phone to provide report, please begin with your agency name and unit identifier, followed by the patientโ€™s name and date of birth. If this information is unavailable or you are unsure of its accuracy, no problem โ€” we will continue with the standard registration process upon arrival.

We appreciate your partnership and support as we implement this process
