When you’re between 18 and 45 and grieving, it can feel like you’ve fallen out of step with the rest of your life. While others are planning weddings, job changes, or vacations, you’re grieving someone who mattered deeply—and wondering where you fit now.

Our Young Adult Loss Group is here to offer connection in that in-between space. This drop-in group meets Tuesdays from 1–2 PM, August 5 through September 30, and is open to anyone aged 18–45 who is grieving the loss of someone close.

No pressure. No commitment. Just people who understand what it’s like to carry grief at this stage of life.

Grief doesn’t end after the funeral, or after the sympathy cards stop arriving. And it’s not something you “get over,” especially when the person you lost was your partner in life.

If you’re a woman who has lost a spouse or life partner, this group offers space to grieve in your own time and in your own way, surrounded by others who truly understand.

Our Loss of Spouse/Partner Women’s Group meets Tuesdays from 4:00–5:00 PM, from August 5 through December 9. It’s a drop-in group held on Zoom, so you can attend once or whenever you feel the need.

At Hospice of the Piedmont, we believe that care goes far beyond the basics — it’s about comfort, connection, and Making Every Moment Count. That’s why we created our Companion Pets Program.

These robotic cats and dogs purr and wiggle when you pet them, respond to being spoken to, and are very cuddly. Our care team has witnessed withdrawn patients light up, engage, and reconnect thanks to the simple yet powerful companionship these pets provide.

Programs like this are possible thanks to community philanthropy. Your support helps us go above and beyond standard hospice care, offering unique touches that make a meaningful difference. Join us in making comfort and companionship possible https://bit.ly/4bzOOU9.

At 97 years old, Don is still traveling. Still telling jokes. Still making time for the things he loves.

When he enrolled in hospice care, he had just one request:
👉 “Help me get to the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors Annual Convention.”

This story will change the way you think about what’s possible in hospice care.

Introducing the 100 Club at Hospice of the Piedmont!

When patients over 100 years old no longer qualify for the Medicare hospice benefit, they often face losing vital support. That’s why Hospice of the Piedmont created the 100 Club: a special program that ensures these remarkable individuals continue to receive hospice services at no cost to them or their families.

Through the 100 Club, centenarian patients continue to receive medications, equipment, supplies, and the dignified end-of-life care they deserve - thanks to community philanthropy.

Join us in Making Every Moment Count. Your gift today helps ensure free, compassionate care for our oldest community members https://bit.ly/4aaUhjn.
