Good Morning,
The University of Virginia is conducting a study about type 1 diabetes, Precision Individualized Medicine for Diabetes — the Virginia PrIMeD Project. This is an effort to identify individuals at high genetic risk for type 1 diabetes. The study team is inviting children ages 2-16 to participate.
If you agree to participate in this study, you/your child will be asked to answer a few questions related to your family’s medical history and your child will be asked to provide a saliva sample.
A member of the study team will be located at three sites affiliated with UVA:
