A crucial bill for audiologists and the patients we serve is on the floor of the Senate for consideration. If the Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act (H.R. 2757) passes, it would allow patients with hearing loss to seek assessment and treatment for hearing and balance disorders without a referral from a physician. It would also continue to allow audiologists to perform services via telehealth. Call your representatives today and encourage them to support MAAIA!

We love being one of The Center at Belvedere’s Corporate Partners, especially during Better Hearing and Speech Month!

Today, our new patient care coordinator, Chris, and our Audiology Technician, Robert, manned a table in the lobby educating the public about the importance of taking care of their hearing health!

And Dr. LeighAnna Morris led our monthly Healthy Hearing Presentation Series on “When Hearing Aids Aren’t Enough” in conjunction with our partners at Advanced Bionics! Thank you to clinical specialist, Dr. Alyson Dixon, and cochlear implant recipient and consumer specialist, Doug Lynch for joining us!

If you’ve been to the clinic the last few months, you probably met one of our awesome audiology doctoral students from JMU, Aubreigh and Grace! While we’re sad to see them go after a wonderful semester in the clinic, we’re excited to see them on their next adventures!

Aubreigh is off to the University of South Carolina for her fourth year externship and Grace is off to the University of Virginia for her third year internship.

Join us in wishing them well in their next endeavors! We know they will excel!
