We had such an amazing time at our Annual New Birth Family Picnic yesterday - our biggest turnout yet!
So many sweet faces, warm hugs, happy kiddos, and belly laughs.
From bouncy house giggles to wagon rides, unicycle riding and sword juggling, to ice cream sundaes and BBQ; every moment was filled with joy, connection and community.
It means the world to see our New Birth families - past and present- gather together like this. We're already dreaming about next year.

Knitting, sewing, or baking (she proudly claims her 'grandma hobbies' 🧶🍪) or hitting the trails to hike, run, or ski. Georgia also treasures spending time in community and with family—she’s all about connection.
💬 A little more about Georgia:
She grew up on the East Coast of Canada in the middle of nowhere, so she has a big appreciation for Minnesota’s open spaces. Fun fact: Georgia is an aunt to TEN nieces and nephews! She’s always flying around the country to visit them, working hard to claim the title of *Coolest Auntie Ever.* 😎

The first little miracle of the year has arrived at New Birth Wellness Center in Chaska, MN!
Born on January 4th, weighing 7 lb 0 oz, sweet Natalie Joe is already surrounded by so much love from her family and our team ❤️ We're honored to have been a part of this family's story once again as they welcomed their second baby.
We are so excited for all the Amazing Stories 2025 will bring! Here's to a year full of love, new beginnings, and precious little ones born here at New Birth Wellness Center. 🎉

The Story

New Birth Midwifery is passionate about moms, babies and providing great care to expectant families. We provide home birth services with a 60 minute radius of Chanhassen, concentrating on the SW Metro. We encourage the use of water in labor and birth and provide professional grade birthing pools for just that purpose or help families purchase their own. We are happy to help VBAC moms, breech babies and twins along with first time moms, or moms that have had lots of babies. We love to talk about pregnancy and birth and what a home birth can look like and provide free consultations to families looking at this as an option for their birth. It is proven to be a safe option for low risk women. We provide true informed consent allowing our families to make decisions for themselves regarding medications and labs in routine care. We also provide them with many resources from the New Birth Midwifery library and handouts in a nice 3 ring binder to help them arrive at the best decision for themselves. The team consists of three midwives, Jennifer Hall, Sarah Barbosa and Jenny Gerfen. All are Certified Professional Midwives and attended MEAC accredited colleges. They all passed the NARM board exam. All are licensed in the state of MN and Jenny is also licensed in WI.
