I would love to know why and how Daniel Sullivan, Director of the May Institute, and Carol Coyne, senior attorney at DDS, are putting their rubber stamps on the way my son Matteson and I are being treated.

How is it acceptable that my nonverbal, disabled son is being subjected to decisions that strip him of his dignity, his family, and his rights?

Why are those in positions of leadership—those entrusted to protect vulnerable people—choosing to look away or, worse, to endorse harm?

This is not just about one family. This is about every family who has ever been silenced by the very systems meant to support them.

When silence becomes complicity, I will not be silent.

🌿 Mobile Peace Ritual: Healing on the Road

Last night, a young woman stepped into my car completely distraught. She was sobbing uncontrollably — not because of anything I’d done, but because she’d been waiting too long for a ride. Systems fail people sometimes. It’s not fair, and I knew her pain wasn’t just about timing. It was overwhelm, fear, and not being seen.

So I did what I’ve trained my nervous system to do — I stayed grounded.

I reached into my little cloth pouch I keep on every shift, pulled out a bottle of Peace & Calm essential oil, and gently offered it to her and her group to take a breath.
One minute. That’s all it took.

The sobbing softened. The atmosphere shifted. By the time we reached their stop, they were calm, laughing softly, and safe.

This is why I do what I do.
I’m not just driving — I’m showing up for the human experience with tools, tenderness, and truth.

If you’ve ever been told you’re “too sensitive” or “too much” —
Let this be proof: sensitivity is sacred.
Presence is power.
And peace is portable.
