This week, we had the honor of helping three very special girls—Razzle, Tika, and Tizzle—who all came into Halifax County Animal Shelter as strays. Despite everything they’ve been through, each one has the sweetest, most gentle spirit.

Tika came in with a surprise—an entire litter of puppies depending on her. Razzle, with her soulful eyes, tested positive for heartworms, which requires expensive treatment with medications. Tika’s checkup revealed she’s also battling Lyme disease and Ehrlichia. Tizzle was our bright spot— healthy as a horse!

We made sure all three were fully vetted, vaccinated, and safe to travel on to the next step of their journey. In just the past few days, we’ve spent nearly $900 in medical care for them, but every penny was worth it to give them a chance at the lives they deserve.
