Fanni is a 10-year-old front-declawed cat who has been through a lot. She was found outside, scared and unsure of the world, but she’s slowly learning that she’s safe now. Fanni is starting to come out of her shell a little more each day and is discovering the joys of gentle pets and quiet moments. Her favorite treats are licky sticks and canned cat food — they’re the quickest way to her heart! With a patient and loving home, Fanni will continue to blossom and show her sweet, gentle spirit. She deserves a calm, cozy place to spend her golden years surrounded by love.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded a $5,000 grant from Halifax County to help local pet owners with spay and neuter costs! 😃

We’re offering a limited number of vouchers exclusively for Halifax County, VA residents! 🐶🐱

🟩 Voucher Details:
$100 for dogs 🐕
$75 for cats 🐈
➡️ Owners are responsible for any additional costs beyond the voucher amount. Please confirm the total cost with your chosen vet.

Once verified, we’ll collect your mailing info and send your voucher to you!

Spay/Neuter Clinic – December 17, 2025

Thanks to grant funding from the Danville Area Humane Society, we’re able to offer low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for eligible clients.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Proof of lower income status must be shown at check-in (examples include EBT, Medicaid, Medicare, or Social Security). Danville/Pitts Co Residents ONLY

We are accepting:
• Male Cats
• Female Cats
• Male Dogs

***FEMALE DOGS will NOT be accepted at this time.***

Fees:
• $20 deposit required at booking
• $20 medication fee due the morning of surgery
• Elizabethan Collar (recommended for healing): $15 additional

The Elizabethan collar helps protect your pet’s incision during the two-week healing process and is strongly encouraged for their safety.
