Choosing care for a loved one is a big decision, and both private sitters and adult day programs offer valuable support.

Private sitters in Alabama earn an average of about $15.16 per hour, and national averages for adult sitters are around $16.60 per hour.

At Heritage Adult Day Haven, our mission is Caring for the Community by providing high‑quality care at an accessible cost. When broken down hourly, our rates come to:

•1 day/week: $75 → $8.82/hr
•2+ days/week: $65 → $7.65/hr
•Short days (4 hrs or less): $50 → $12.50/hr

We aren’t here to compete with private sitters—just to offer families another dependable, affordable option with structured activities, social engagement, a supportive environment and respite care for the Caregiver.

Friday saw the culmination of our Decade Celebration, an occasion characterized by immense enjoyment and merriment. Through concerted effort, participants successfully resolved eight puzzles covering various decades, thereby ensuring a victorious outcome. In conjunction with repairing the time rifts, the event incorporated a range of rejuvenating and dynamic team-building exercises.

Did you know that through the Rural Hospital Investment Program, individuals and businesses can make a contribution that directly supports Washington County Hospital and get a dollar-for-dollar credit on their Alabama state taxes?

We invite you to join us in this effort to keep care close to home. Your contribution through this Program will make an immediate impact on the future of healthcare in our community.

- Individuals can donate up to $15,000
-Married filing jointly can donate up to $30,000
-LLCs, S corporations, and partnerships can contribute up to $450,000
- Corporations can contribute up to $500,000
