You didn't just survive. You became someone unstoppable. ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒธ

Every scar, every sleepless night, every moment you chose to keep going, that is your strength. That is your story. And it is worth celebrating today and every day.

On International Women's Day, we honor the women who found the courage to walk away, to heal, and to rise into the life they deserve.

You are stronger than you know. And you are never alone. ๐Ÿ”— Link in bio to learn how Haven Hills supports women on their journey to safety and healing.

Some stories remind us why awareness matters.

In this conversation, one community member shares how domestic violence impacted someone close to their family and how difficult it was for those involved, especially when disabilities made it harder to process what was happening and navigate those emotions.

Survivors with disabilities often face additional barriers when experiencing abuse. Access to resources, communication support, and emotional tools can make a huge difference in helping someone find safety and healing.

At Haven Hills, raising awareness is part of how we help ensure survivors know they are not alone and that support is available.

You deserve to feel safe. Always.

This March, we honor every woman who survived, healed, and dared to begin again. ๐Ÿ’œ
Her story didnโ€™t end there. It became history.

Womenโ€™s History Month is a reminder that strength isnโ€™t just found in boardrooms and movements. It lives in the quiet courage of a woman who chose herself. Who walked away. Who rebuilt. Who rose.

We see her. We honor her. We celebrate her, this month and every month.

Disability and domestic violence are more connected than many people realize.

Survivors with disabilities experience abuse at higher rates, and they often face additional barriers when trying to access safety and support. Abuse can look different, too. It may involve controlling medications, taking away mobility devices, blocking communication, or using caregiving as a way to control someone.

Believing survivors matters. Listening matters. Support matters.

If someone opens up to you, a few simple words can make a difference:
โ€œI believe you.โ€
โ€œIโ€™m glad you told me.โ€
โ€œYou donโ€™t deserve this.โ€

Share this to help raise awareness and stand with survivors. ๐Ÿ’œ

Nearly half of the women who experienced r**e were minors when it first happened.

That stat is heavy, and it is exactly why Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month matters. Prevention starts early, with honest conversations about consent, boundaries, digital safety, and what respect actually looks like in real life.

If you are a teen reading this, your safety matters. If you are a parent, caregiver, educator, or mentor, your voice can be the difference between silence and support. Save this post, share it, and letโ€™s make โ€œreal love respectsโ€ the standard, not the exception. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿงก

If you need immediate help, please call 911 or our 24/7 Crisis Line at 818-887-6589. If you are looking for a DV support group near you, please call 818-887-7481 for more information.

โ€œIt is not that deepโ€ until you are constantly explaining yourself, walking on eggshells, or feeling guilty for having a life outside of them.

This Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, we are naming the red flags that get excused as normal, because control is not protection, pressure is not romance, and blame is not love.

If any of these slides felt a little too familiar, you are not overreacting. Real love respects your boundaries, your friends, your time, and your peace. Save this and share it with someone you care about.

If you need immediate help, please call 911 or our 24/7 Crisis Line at 818-887-6589. If you are looking for a DV support group near you, please call 818-887-7481 for more information.
