📖 Ok-- we're kidding. There are no *required* books/podcasts along your midlife journey. But we feel very strongly that education is empowerment and these resources are gold. We highly recommend these reads/listens-- bonus points if you have done research prior to your first visit with us!
'You Are Not Broken' Podcast: literally all 330+ episodes, but at least Episode 328: "Should I Take Hormones", Episode 324: "Perimenopause is Real", and Episode 225: "Boomers Should be Pi**ed..." to get you started.
'The New Menopause'-- absolute must-read. 'The New Perimenopause' is coming soon!
'The Menopause Brain' is a very helpful resource.
And if you're feeling really technical, dive into 'Estrogen Matters' by Avrum Bluming and Carol Tavris.
There are so many more books and podcasts, but these are usually where we direct our patients first. We have NO financial interest in recommending these resources-- you just deserve to know about them.
What are your faves??
