Dr. Shults earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. He completed his family medicine residency at Christ Health Center in Birmingham, Alabama, and is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

We’re counting down to the official opening of the new CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia in Ringgold on January 11, 2026 — and construction is moving full speed ahead!

Here’s what’s happening on-site:

• Millwork has arrived and is being installed
• Ceramic tile installation is underway
• Ceiling grid installation is in progress on Level 1
• Medical gas equipment has been set in place
• We’ve completed our first Fire Marshal walkthrough

Every milestone gets us one step closer to welcoming patients and delivering compassionate, high-quality care to North Georgia. A huge thank you to the dedicated crews bringing this vision to life!
