Electrophysiology (EP) focuses on diagnosing and treating abnormal heart rhythms using advanced technology to improve patients’ survival and quality of life.

Patrice has worked in our EP Lab for 20 years and has served as charge person for 7 years. She began her career as a respiratory therapist supporting airway management for sedated patients and now helps train new EP team members.

A member of our cardiac care team recently reached a milestone by performing their 600th left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) at Parkridge Medical Center.

This minimally invasive procedure helps reduce stroke risk for eligible patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF), especially for those who may not be candidates for long-term blood-thinning medications.

This achievement reflects the depth of experience, collaboration, and commitment to advanced, patient-centered heart care at Parkridge Medical Center. 💙🫀
