"I'm just going to try it this once"

The DEA Laboratory has found that, of the fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills analyzed in 2022, six out of ten now contain a potentially lethal dose of fentanyl.

Criminal drug networks are mass-producing fake pills and falsely marketing them as legitimate prescription pills to deceive the American public. Fake prescription pills are easily accessible and often sold on social media and e-commerce platforms, making them available to anyone with a smartphone, including minors. Many fake pills are made to look like prescription drugs such as oxycodone (Oxycontin®, Percocet®), hydrocodone (Vicodin®), and alprazolam (Xanax®); or stimulants like amphetamines (Adderall®).

In 2022, 67% of drug overdose deaths were due to fentanyl. And it doesn't take much. Only 2 milligrams of fentanyl (enough to fit on the top of a pencil!!) is enough to be lethal.

Don't fall for "just this once." One pill can kill.

Alcohol or drugs fill an unmet need in our lives. What are you using substances to distract yourself from?

Identifying the root of the problem is a game-changer in recovery. Once you know what you're missing or where you're hurting you can start to replace the self-destructive behaviors with behaviors that will actually help solve your needs that you've been distracting yourself from.

That's why CADAS seeks to include all parts of a person's life in recovery. You can't just take away substances, you must replace them.

What are some new habits or hobbies you have begun in recovery?

Often when ER's are filled, overdose cases come to our front door 24/7/365 and we give the needed help to detox the patient. Then, they may go into programs here, if money is available; or they may be referred to mental health or other health facilities once their physical situation is stabilized.

Please help us to continue to provide this crucial service to our community. Your money saves lives.

Addiction touches every aspect of your life. It effects your relationships, your mentality, your health, your family, your career, and much more.

At CADAS, we recognize this and use a wholistic approach in our recovery programs. While we help you get sober, we also help you strengthen other areas of your life, and include your loved ones in the process as well!

It’s not enough to just stop drinking. Focusing on building a lifestyle that intentionally protects you from relapsing is just as important while pursuing recovery.

Please help us continue to serve those in our community who can’t afford to get help.
