Position Summary
Wellness Advisors provide product information and assist customers with their product selections, ensuring a seamless shopping experience. Wellness Advisors are focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations by listening to customer needs, researching product information, and offering the most effective solutions.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Greet customers in a friendly, welcoming manner and offer assistance with their product needs.
• Actively listen to customers to understand their preferences and guide them in making informed purchasing decisions.
• Research, learn and understand multiple products offered by Nutrition World, appropriate uses and outcomes in order to provide most accurate information to customers.
• Educate customers about the benefits and uses of various products, suggesting alternatives where appropriate, and providing clear, accurate information.
• Offer samples, alternative products or special orders to meet customer needs.
• Assist with stocking new products, ensuring that the sales floor is organized and that inventory is well-maintained.
• Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and process payments efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front of the store, restock counter items as needed.
• Ensure customer information is accurate in the company system.
• Answer phone calls promptly and assist customers with their inquiries, addressing any concerns or questions they may have about products or services.
• Treat others in the workplace with mutual respect and professionalism.
• Perform additional tasks as requested.
Additional tasks may include:
• Set up and conduct product demos to promote products and increase sales.
• Manage daily deposits, ensuring cash and checks balance with reports.
• Monthly reconciliation of deposit reports from the bank.
• Manage and mail coupons to appropriate clearing houses and tracking rebate checks.
• Organize store events, create promotional materials and manage the logistics of guest lectures.
• Design in-store signs and displays to enhance customer experience and promote local goods.
• Assist with event marketing, setup, and ensuring smooth operation during events
• Write and send thank you cards to customers with large orders.
Skills and Qualification:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training or courses in nutrition, fitness or health related field preferred.
• Experience in retail sales or customer service environment preferred.
• Experience with nutritional products preferred.
• Strong listening skills and patience when dealing with customers.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to build rapport with customers and coworkers.
• Comfortable engaging with people of various backgrounds and preferences.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, from assisting customers to managing inventory and operating the register.
• Must be available to work additional hours as needed (daily and/or weekends) to support the needs of the business.
• Strong problem-solving skills, especially when dealing with discrepancies or urgent situations.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office suite or Google workplace
