We were recently made aware that some local providers may not realize the full scope of care midwives provide here in Tennessee. We have the utmost respect for our medical colleagues, pediatricians, and hospital teams—and the vital work they do every day.

At the same time, we believe shared understanding benefits families most. Tennessee-licensed midwives are trained and authorized to provide comprehensive newborn care, including screenings, procedures, and filing essential paperwork. Our hope in sharing this is simply to increase awareness and collaboration, so families receive accurate information and seamless care across all settings.

You can choose to give birth in the comfort of your home or use our spacious and comfortable accommodations. Many parents ask about waterbirth. At Birth Wellness we have you covered with a large Birth Tub. We can also direct you to birth tubs to purchase for your own home if you don’t already have a large tub. We can help you navigate and plan your pregnancy and birth from the big decisions to the smallest details. Call us for a consult and we can get you started on your prenatal care journey.
