✨ Some days, the greatest progress is simply choosing to be gentle with yourself. ✨

🌿 Healing isn’t always loud or visible, sometimes it’s found in the quiet moments where you choose peace over pressure.

Here are a few reminders for today:
🫶 Breathe. That’s enough.
🗓️ Rest is productive.
👏 Give yourself credit for the courage it takes just to keep going.
💬 Speak to yourself like you would a friend.
🌅 Progress isn’t always forward, sometimes it’s stillness.

Erika believes healing begins when you’re truly seen, heard, and understood. Before any diagnosis or label, you’re a person and that principle guides every session she holds.

Erika is an Intern Marriage & Family Therapist and graduate student at Capella University with 11+ years in the mental health field. She knows real change happens in our systems, relationships, families, and communities, and she’s passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families grow using a whole-person, strengths-based approach.

Start your week with a moment of mindfulness. Taking just a few minutes to center yourself can make a world of difference in how you approach the days ahead. Here's a simple 5-minute breathing exercise to help ground yourself and set a positive tone for the week:

1. Find a Quiet Space: Sit comfortably with your feet on the ground and hands resting on your lap.
2. Close Your Eyes: Begin to focus on your breath. Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four, hold for a count of four, and then exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of four.
3. Stay Present: As you breathe, notice any thoughts or feelings that arise. Gently acknowledge them, and then return your focus to your breath.
4. Continue for 5 Minutes: Stay with your breath, allowing it to calm your mind and body. When you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take a moment to notice how you feel.

Starting your day with mindfulness can reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance your overall well-being. Give it a try and see how it impacts your week!
