At REV, it’s not uncommon for people to experience a short wave of anxiety or restlessness during a session. While it may feel uncomfortable in the moment, this is actually a powerful and productive sign that your nervous system is beginning to shift, release, and reorganize.
Here’s what’s happening within:
✨ Stored survival energy surfaces – Your body has held onto protective patterns, stress responses, and tension for years. When you finally slow down in a safe, intentional calm space, that energy has a chance to rise up and out instead of staying stored in the body.
✨ The system is recalibrating – Anxiety often signals that your nervous system is moving out of a stress state and expanding its ability to feel, regulate, and process. Think of it like thawing ice. Going from dense and stagnant to ease and flow. There’s movement, sensation, and sometimes shakiness as energy is restored.
✨ It’s a healing conversation – your body is talking to you and rather than being a problem, these feelings are your body’s way of saying, “I’m ready to let this go.” What once felt stuck is now being shifted through breath, movement, and awareness on the table.
✨ Integration leads to freedom – Each time your nervous system gently touches old patterns of anxiety and comes back to balance, you build resilience. Over time, what once hijacked your system becomes a point of strength, adaptability and expansion.
So if you notice anxiety during care, celebrate and get curious with it as a sign your body is doing the deep work it has been waiting for. At REV, we see it not as something “wrong,” but as your system’s innate intelligence reorganizing into more coherence, freedom, and vitality.
