Tomorrow is World Down Syndrome Day. And tonight, we want to share something important.
Loneliness is one of the biggest challenges facing people with Down syndrome. Not sometimes. For many people โ every single day.
People have told us what loneliness feels like. Like a void. Like emptiness. Like being invisible. Like crying in the depth of your heart.
This is not okay. And it is not inevitable.
We know what every person needs to feel connected and to belong:
๐ Real inclusion โ not just being present, but truly taking part.
๐ Welcoming spaces โ where every person is valued, invited, and safe.
๐ Meaningful relationships โ real friendships, real love, real connection.
These are not big asks. They are basic human needs. And together, we have the power to make them a reality for every person with Down syndrome.
Tomorrow, speak up. Share our posts. Wear your socks. Start a conversation. Take action.
Because no one should have to feel lonely. Not on World Down Syndrome Day. Not any day.
Share this post tonight and help us reach as many people as possible tomorrow. ๐
