A die-hard Tennessee Volunteer, Gene especially treasured UT football games shared with his brothers, children, and grandchildren. He also enjoyed summer RV excursions with his beloved wife and son, and he held favorite memories of golfing and fishing with children and grandchildren in beautiful Lake Placid, Florida. Gene loved listening to music, attending concerts, and discussing all the oldies—always with the same warm humor and genuine interest that made time with him so meaningful.
For 40 years, Gene was a faithful member of City Church of Chattanooga, where he served as an elder, small group leader and member. He also gave his time to civic groups and community organizations, including serving as past-president of the Chattanooga Boys Choir.
