Unlike most gynecology offices, we specialize in minimally invasive gynecological laparoscopic and robotic surgery, which avoids a large abdominal incision by using a tiny telescope-like instrument inserted through the belly button. Conditions such as severe and extensive endometriosis involving the bowel, bladder, ureter, cul-de-sac, tube and o***y, female organ prolapse involving a dropping, bulging, or sagging va**na, uterus, bladder, or re**um, and urinary stress incontinence (urine leakage) can be treated successfully with less pain, fewer complications, and quicker recovery than traditional surgery. Liu, are world-renowned pioneers and leaders in the field of advanced gynecological endoscopic surgery. In addition to to specialization in the above procedures, they have developed several laparoscopic surgical procedures including laparoscopic bladder neck suspension and suburethral sling procedure for the treatment of urinary incontinence, laparoscopic parava**nal repair (bladder tack) for cystocele (bladder bulging into va**na), laparoscopic repair of enterocele (small bowel bulging into the va**na), and va**nal vault suspension for va**nal and uterine prolapse (va**nal bulging and dropping of uterus and cervix). Dr. Furr is one of the most experienced daVinci robotic surgeons in the Chattanooga area performing hysterectomies, oopherectomies, endometriosis resections, and sacrocolpopexies for va**nal prolapse. He also performs surgical procedures for fertility treatment such as tubal reanastomosis and removal of large fibroids.

To all of my patients who have graciously allowed for us to care for you all of these years, I am sad to announce that we will be shutting our doors in Chattanooga for good tomorrow (4/19/2023). This comes a little sooner than expected due to unforeseen circumstances. For all of those who are local, NP Jessica Smith, will continue to practice and continue your care. We will update soon with that information.

For those who would like to transition to another GYN practice for routine care, I recommend Dr. Mary Anna Sanders (423) 498-2300, or Dr. Jack Rowland (423) 266-6116. For those of you who have Interstim or Axonics devices, I recommend follow-up with Dr. Carson Kaeser (423) 778-2580, for management of these devices.

I will continue to provide all of my current services at a new location in Florida, and will update that information in a forthcoming post.

All medical records will be available as soon as we get them moved over to system where Jessica Smith will be practicing.
