Ponders Funeral Home- Brainerd Chapel, Locally owned and operated. Ponders Funeral Home was established in northwest Georgia in 1992 by Stonewall Ponders. As a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service and member of the Pi Sigma Eta National Morticians Fraternity, Stoney realized a lifelong dream of owning his own funeral home. This dream became reality when Ponders Funeral Home began serving Dalton area families on July 15, 1992. With the addition of locations in Calhoun and Fairmount, Ponders Funeral Homes has grown to become the area’s largest funeral service provider. As a family owned and operated business, Ponders Funeral Home strives to assist your family in creating a memorable and sophisticated service to celebrate the life of your loved one.
