We get it… you might picture that sweet jelly-on-the-belly ultrasound moment. But early in pregnancy, your nurse may recommend a transvaginal ultrasound instead…and it’s actually really important.

Ultrasounds reveal key information, like where the pregnancy is located and how far along you are. If you’re considering abortion, this matters: it helps determine your eligibility and can also screen for health concerns, like a pregnancy developing outside the uterus.

A transvaginal scan gives the clearest picture early on so you can know exactly what’s going on with your body.
