Please keep the Cavin family in your thoughts and prayers

Cullen Eugene Cavin, Jr. passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026. He was a retired firefighter with the Chattanooga Fire Department and faithfully served his community for nearly three decades.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cullen and Hazel Cavin. Gene was a 1967 graduate of Central High School and spent his entire life in Lookout Valley, where he was raised and remained deeply rooted in the community.

Gene was an avid deer hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years, Marcia; his son, Trey Cavin (Robin); his daughter, Beth Tipton (Jason); and his four grandsons, Knox and Hollis Tipton, and Ethan and Morgan Cavin.

He is also survived by his sister, Marceen Paseur (Ken); his brother, Jimmy “Squeek” Cavin (Emilie); his brothers-in-law, Richard and Andy Breon; his sister-in-law, Debra Van Voorst (Steve); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service is being planned, and details will be shared with family and friends at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the University of Alabama Transplant Center.

Please keep the Keller family in your thoughts and prayers.

Richard W. Keller, age 74, passed away on January 15, 2026. He was born on December 7, 1951. He loved to fish, drink beer and spend time with his dog, Sparkle.

Richard retired from PBS Chemical Company, where he dedicated many years of hard work and commitment. He was known for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and devotion to his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Estelle Keller, and his son, Todd Keller.

Richard is survived by his loving siblings, Robby Keller, Vickie Brumlow, and Teresa Keller; and his cherished grandchildren, T.J. Keller and Megan Fowler.

Richard will be remembered with love by those who knew him, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

A graveside service will be announced soon.
