She is a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work which indicates she has satisfied the requirements for advanced Clinical Social Work through the National Association of Social Workers. Cathy is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research-proven therapy which assists clients in processing trauma and other troubling memories, thoughts and feelings. She also utilizes hypnosis. She is the author of two fiction books and one non-fiction book entitled Comforting the Soul: Meditations of Hope for the Emotionally Wounded.
