☀️From Cozumel, Mexico ➡️ To St. Petersburg, Florida
This weekend, one year apart, has become a new tradition. Traveling, yes 😍, but in one way or another taking time to step back from the real world and reflect on the past year. Exploring the gratitude for all that has happened over the year and projecting excitement into establishing new goals to come. Granted my feet are thanking me more for my choices of not traveling for a Full Ironman (they don’t know about the 100miler in April yet 🤫), I am so happy to have this time to myself to reflect on so many amazing wins. Definitely a new tradition before being swept up by the holidays.
How do you reflect on your year? Do you celebrate the wins over the past year? How do you get energized to take on a new year and level up? Is this a practice that you even do? If not, I highly recommend making the opportunity to sit with your own thoughts (maybe not for a 16hour endurance event like Cozumel was for me 🤣), and explore what you are truly passionate about and grateful for. 🥂
It can be so hard but also so rewarding and sets you off on the right foot for the new year without distractions and allowing for full presence at your family/friends holiday celebrations.
