Move It Or Lose It 👀

How often do you move throughout the day? Do you get sucked into your tasks and forget to move or change positions for hours on end? Do you do a repetitive movement throughout the day without adding any other activities or opposite movements?

These are the type of habits that can lead to aches and pains that seem to “happen overnight”. Our bodies will adapt and be resilient for a long time but will change structure for function.

I challenge you to snack on motion throughout the day, just like Daisy does. 🙆🏼‍♀️ Let’s fidget more. Get some blood flow moving around. Add in different ranges of motion like rotation or lateral bending. How often have you walked backwards? When was the last time you danced to that banger song that comes on while cooking or getting ready? Blast out some chin tucks while finishing that social media post that you are looking down at your phone to do.

Move more. Motion is lotion. Explore your body. If you don’t use it, you will lose it.

🌟Let’s have a chat. 💬

What is the one thing that is constantly with you? The thing we don’t think or pay attention to until it doesn’t do what we need it to or what it’s always done for us without question? 👀 what do we usually completely abuse and then wonder why we have consequences for our actions? 🫣

✨Our BODIES✨

Now that your eye roll 🙄 is complete since it can be such a cliche topic of body positivity that has kind of turned a bit toxic and unhealthy. Let’s just look at some of the facts. 🙆🏼‍♀️

Your body has been with you since day 1. It has supported you not only in the best of times but has also carried you through your toughest. ❤️‍🩹 It is a self healing organism when given the opportunity and proper tools but even when it isn’t (hellooooo chronic stress vibes here), our bodies adapt to the environment it is in to survive. It is always searching for efficiency within a challenge. 🙌🏼

Is it perfect? No.
Does it always give you the full story? No. You usually have to clear the distractions to get to the bottom of it.
Does it always respond like textbooks tells you it should? Not. Even. Close.

BUT how cool and spectacular is that? YOU get to be the ONLY you there is. 🥰

It can grow another live, it can save a life, it is your life. ♥️

No matter your thoughts on your body today, take a moment and look at what all it has accomplished for you. Appreciate the trials and tribulations that it has endured. Look at the strength it has gained over the years. The resiliency. The adaptability. The story it tells. The unique opportunities it’s given you.

Let’s show our bodies some love today. And everyday. Listen more to what it communicates with you. Trust your gut and instincts. Focus on the movement and nutrition it needs. Increase your sleep quality. Give it some sunshine and nature. Embrace the community that is around you.

Thank you to the body that has provided the opportunity to see the life we have been blessed with. ♥️

Who is Chattanooga Sports Chiropractic Institute?

Chattanooga Sports Chiropractic Institute was opened on March 19th, 2018 by Dr. Callie Lance. She loves helping her patients become and stay active to do what they love the most. Dr. Callie is from Medina, Ohio and received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Cincinnati. She then went to St. Louis, MO to obtain a Masters of Sports Science and Rehabilitation degree as well as her Doctorate of Chiropractic. She chose Chattanooga, TN from rowing in college and competing at the Head of the H***h. Chattanooga took Dr. Callie’s heart with all of the outdoor activities it offers.
