Sometimes, the quickest way out is to go through it. Accept you're in a funk. Accept that you don't feel great. Treat yourself with some compassion, drop the guilt, and let yourself be. It's okay to cry or nap or watch a movie. Your mood doesn't define your worth.

When we feel like we're being pulled in million directions, with countless demands on our time, the last thing we feel like doing is nothing.

But in that nothing, we find stillness. In that stillness, we find peace. Our brains have a chance to process, to organize our thoughts, and to solve problems at a deeper level. That's one reason floating can be such a powerful experience.

But if you don't allow yourself to find that stillness, you'll never experience its power.
