Our corporate office turned into a Halloween wonderland as we welcomed little trick-or-treaters for an afternoon of fun and imagination! Departments went all out in a decorating contest, transforming their spaces into magical worlds, from outer space to Candyland, Oz to Disney World, and even the world of Pokémon! The kids even met legendary coaches and (we think) spotted about 101 Dalmatians!

We had a blast at the Fall Festival with the North Raleigh Family YMCA last week! 🎃

There were inflatables, a balloon artist, puppies to cuddle, obstacle courses to conquer, and so much candy! Our axe and dartboard games were a huge hit with the kids, and we might have some future pros in the making.

A big thank-you to the YMCA for having us, the staff and volunteers for helping with setup and cleanup, and everyone who stopped by to hang out and celebrate Fall with us. We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🍂

We were thrilled to have Val from Hearth Hospice stop by our office this month for our monthly Caregiver Enrichment Training!

She shared valuable insights on the importance of palliative and hospice care, as well as the significance of supporting one another as caregivers - cherishing meaningful moments and taking time to connect with our teams in what can often be independent roles. Seeing our caregivers stay afterward to chat, laugh, and catch up was something special. Thank you for your words and energy, Val!

Right at Home Chattanooga has started offering monthly "Life Skills" training to our employees as an investment in our caregivers. While staying current on home health practices is important, life extends beyond the workplace, and any efforts to support work-life balance or provide valuable knowledge our team may not have known they needed are top priorities for us.

Pam, a compassionate caregiver from Right at Home Twin Cities and South Suburbs, has been supporting Marion for over two years. During that time, she has made over 258 visits without ever being late or missing a single one! That kind of consistency and care doesn’t go unnoticed. In fact, Marion was so moved by Pam’s dedication that she had a custom award created to honor her remarkable reliability.

Pam now visits Marion three times a week for what they call “spa days,” bringing not just assistance, but joy, comfort, and companionship. Though Pam is known for her quiet, efficient approach to caregiving, she’s also a fierce advocate for her clients and always puts their needs first, going above and beyond in ways that speak volumes.

We’re proud to celebrate Pam’s excellence and the special bond she’s built with Marion. Her commitment is a beautiful example of improving the quality of life for those we serve, one meaningful visit at a time.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Bo Hodges from Right at Home Austin West, who has been named the 2025 Caregiver of the Year by the Home Care Association of America!

Bo Hodges began his caregiving journey after surviving a life-changing motorcycle accident. Inspired by the woman who saved his life and later passed away from cancer, Bo committed himself to helping others. Since joining Right at Home Austin West, he’s become a trusted and compassionate presence—braving storms, handling emergencies, and offering unwavering support. Clients call him a lifeline, and colleagues admire his reliability, communication, and heartfelt dedication.

Joining Bo in this honor is Deb Whalen from Right at Home of Southern Arizona, recognized as a national finalist. Out of over 500 nominations, these two Right at Home caregivers stood out for their compassion, dedication, and life-changing care. Their recognition inspires us all to continue making a difference every day. Congratulations! 🎉

We always look forward to partnering with Chattanooga State Community College’s PT program for Dementia Live, but this recent session was extra special!

Not only did we have some incredible student groups participate, we were honored to be joined by Dean Martina Harris of the Nursing and Allied Health Division! Her enthusiasm and support added to the experience - she was going to make sure someone swept up the floor for their task!

These hands-on simulations are powerful, giving future healthcare professionals a glimpse into the world of those living with dementia and reminding us all why empathy in care matters so much. 🧠💡
