One of the amazing women in my group coaching container recently shared something about a feeling she has been able to identify since working with me, and I find it to be a really powerful testament to the way that I teach and coach my clients.
Here's what she said:
"Hi all! Just wanted to share a feeling I've identified recently. Since gaining all the weight (I gained 60lbs in the last couple of years), I have tried many times to lose it (or to stop gaining). Crash diets, whole lifestyle change on a Monday, etc... There's such anxiety that comes with crash dieting that is so exhausting, and I'm definitely not feeling it now. I feel like these changes we've been making slowly have given me what I'm calling a "peaceful commitment" - I'm calm, focused, and just taking it one day at a time trying to be better. I'm feeling good. 🙂

The idea of a "peaceful commitment" to your goals, to your health, to your sanity...that's what we are always striving for.
When you work with me, you aren't forced into some cookie cutter program that requires you to hit "X" benchmarks at a certain time or make massive changes overnight. You aren't shamed or made to feel unworthy if you fall short of your goals on any given day.
I believe wholeheartedly that you can ask any one of my clients if they feel this same "peaceful commitment" and they will agree that it's something we work hard to cultivate.
This is why I do what I do. It's not about fulfilling some arbitrary societal expectation to be skinny. It's about helping women, many for the first time in their lives, feel confident in their own skin, make choices that support a long and healthy life that feels good, and be empowered to take control of their health so that they KNOW they are capable of anything they set their mind to.

8 week progress! ✨️

I am so proud of my client, Addison, for putting in work these last eight weeks. 💪

Here's what she had to say about working with me:

"The impact challenge was a great program for me to get back into the gym. The weekly challenges Anne incorporated into the program to help build healthy habits are so important for continuing beyond the 8 weeks we worked together. I feel better equipped to eat healthier and work out after working with Anne because she went into the “why” of everything. Helping me understand why I’m doing certain things throughout a program makes me more motivated to continue them on my own. I definitely recommend working with Anne! Here are some pictures of myself in my favorite jeans. The “before” picture was taken on 12/31/23, and the “after” picture was taken on 3/1/24."

We didn't do anything crazy. We just focused on daily steps, water intake, and strength training. Addison was pretty consistent with her workouts 5 days/week and tracking her food. Over the last 8 weeks, we actually got her eating more than she was previously, while she was still losing fat and building a small amount of muscle.

Long-term problems require sustainable solutions. 🌸

Focus on the daily habits needed to reach your goal, and there's no way to fail as long as you continue to execute.

Save this one for later and add these to your habit trackers! ✍️

These three daily habits have changed my life over and over and over again. They are my true non-negotiables when it comes to my health and wellness.

If you're just starting out on your fitness journey, I highly recommend starting with these habits and really solidifying them into your routine.

Your fat loss goals are more attainable than you think!

Set big goals and then break them down into daily actionable steps. Celebrate all your small wins and keep moving forward. One day, one action, and one habit at a time. 💗

Adequate nutrition is at least 80% of the puzzle when it comes to sustainable fat loss.

It's so important to learn and understand your body's nutritional needs. This is why I always recommend tracking macros as the best tool for beginners to start their fat loss journey.

When you track your food, you begin to gain an understanding of the composition of different foods and how your consumption affects the way that you look and feel.

This is CRUCICAL for any long-term progress and healthy weight maintenance.

If you are constantly trying to squeeze yourself into a restrictive diet or training program and find that you fail time and time again to reach your goals, maybe it's time to consider another way.

Long-term, sustainable fat loss requires you to build new and better habits over time. Here are some practical tips to help you on your journey:

1️⃣Increase Daily Movement: Find enjoyable ways to incorporate more physical activity into your day. Whether it's taking a brisk walk during your lunch break, dancing to your favorite music, or trying out a new workout class, moving your body regularly is key to burning calories and improving your overall well-being.
