I’m considering taking on a teaching role again before I go ~insane~ I’d like to shake it up though! What’s wanted? What’s needed? What’s craved?!! This chair makes me feel a lot. It was my very first purchase for my very own practice. It was such a big decision! Leaving the safety and security of my Olympia practice, community and clients. Moving back to ‘lil old Chehalis. It’s been 4 years, and mostly I look right through the chair. Sometimes I consider a new chair, it’s so uncomfortable, you may know. But sometimes I really see the chair, and all those feelings come back. I won’t ever regret creating this beautiful practice, and re-entering this community that you’ve all so graciously welcomed me back into. I thank all of you that have sat in this chair, or will sit in this chair. I am forever grateful ~M

Around 10 years ago, I was offering massage at a golf tournament. Someone had just left, when I noticed they forgot their wallet. Reflex made me yell out “oh hey!” ……….just before a nearby golfer swung. 🫣 I couldn’t even hide. They all looked so disappointed in me, one older man I had befriended earlier kindly shaking his head. I remember this often, when all of my cringiest stories cycle through. You do that too, yeah? And please don’t take me golfing 🫶

I recently learned (from Martha Beck) that creativity cancels out anxiety. I had no idea how to apply this knowledge, but fortunately kept it stored in the back of my mind… because yesterday I felt that familiar trembling. That unwelcome racing of heart&mind. And instead of falling in ~as I do~ I remembered! My friends, it WORKED. You can think anything creative~make up poetry or plan your dinner ingredients. I personally have a super ridiculous collection of children’s stories now in my brain 🤷‍♀️ This was rearin’ up to be a doozy of a panic attack, so I had to tell y’all about this one. ✨Anxiety sucks✨ please feel free to share any tricks you’ve picked up along the way! ♥️🫶♥️
