If you want to know what a culture values, look at who (and what) people admire and aspire to be.

Usually, this revolves around being famous, excelling in a career, being physically attractive, or various other traits that externally signal perceived power.

Mothers particularly are not seen in our society as one of the most important and influential roles. Her role is expected sacrifice with very little support.

The consistent, supportive mother is positively shaping the self image of another human being. I’m not sure there is any role more “important” than how the next generation sees themselves, how they’ll engage in relationships, and how they’ll behave within the world.

A mother healing her own generational trauma while consciously raising her child, provides a value to society that culture hasn’t yet come to fully understand.

Respect and admiration for mothers everywhere having the courage to learn new ways of being, who have decided the cycle ends with them, and who wake up daily as the most important figure in their child’s life

Back in the day before I fully realized I was a victim of a lengthy next level grooming and brainwashing event (medical school and residency), I would laugh along with other docs about patients who did their own research. Ugh.
