Our Beginner Series with Scott is the perfect place. Over six weeks you’ll learn the foundations of yoga in a supportive, welcoming environment while building confidence and consistency.

This series is great for complete beginners or anyone returning to their practice.

LUY Student Spotlight: Brooke ✨

Years ago, Brooke experienced a traumatic brain injury that left her with paralysis on the left side of her body and ongoing balance issues. She came to LUY hoping yoga might help.

What brought you to LUY for the first time?
Years ago I had a traumatic brain injury that resulted in left side paralysis and balance issues. I decided to try yoga to help improve my balance.

How has your practice changed since you started?
Since I started yoga, my balance has improved a lot. I also feel more symmetry and strength between the left and right sides of my body.

What’s your favorite class or style at LUY and why?
My favorite class is Power Yoga with Scott, but I really enjoy all the classes LUY has to offer.

What benefits have you noticed in your daily life from yoga?
Since practicing yoga I am stronger, happier, and more balanced.

What would you say to someone who feels nervous about trying yoga?
Just jump into it. Yoga is self-paced. It’s about nobody else but you. You go as far as you are comfortable.

What does LUY mean to you?
LUY has helped me in more ways than going to the gym, running, or lifting weights ever did. My body feels better than it ever has.
