Local Church in Greenville, TN, Seeks Assistance for Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts
Greeneville, TN – October 11, 2024 – In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, The Sanctuary, a local church in Greenville, TN, has stepped up to provide aid and support to the community. The church has been actively involved in disaster relief, serving over 400 residents with meals and essential supplies. As the clean-up and rebuilding process continues, the church is now calling on the broader public for assistance.
“We’ve been able to provide meals and help people with personal care items, but the need is growing as we move into the rebuilding phase,” said Angel Hill a church representative. "Many in our community have lost everything, and we want to help restore some normalcy."
Relief Efforts and How to Contribute
The church has transformed its event center into a distribution hub, offering supplies such as non-perishable food, cleaning materials, and personal hygiene items. Volunteers have also been assisting with the clean-up of homes and properties. However, more resources are needed as the community looks to rebuild homes, replace livestock, and recover from the extensive damage caused by the storm.
Donations, particularly financial contributions, are being sought to continue these efforts. These will go directly toward purchasing materials for rebuilding homes and providing essential resources.

As Greenville and the surrounding areas work to rebuild after the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, The Sanctuary is partnering with local businesses to pool resources and help residents begin the long recovery process. “It’s hard to know where to begin when you’ve lost everything,” said a church volunteer. “But we’re committed to helping our community rebuild.”
