2025 Manson High School Scholarship Recipients from the
Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation

Bethzy Quirarte will be attending Washington State University this fall to study to be a veterinarian. She is only our second student to enter this field, our first is Dawson Smith and he is in his 3rd year. Her drive and enthusiasm for this field is admired by all her peers.
Brisa Venegas will be at Wenatchee Valley College, studying to be a sonographer. A Sonographer is an allied healthcare professional who specializes in the use of ultrasonic imaging devices to produce diagnostic images, scans, videos or three-dimensional volumes of anatomy and diagnostic data.
Van Keough-Michaels is heading to the islands to study Physical Therapy. He will be at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa on the island of Oahu. Established in 1907, the University of Hawai’i Manoa is the largest of the 10 UH campuses. UH of Manoa is a research university of international standing.
Andrea Rodriguez-Fernández is heading a little closer to home to Wenatchee Valley College, she too is going into the field of Sonography. Andrea is hoping to transfer into radiology down the road and is open to many other opportunities in the medical field.
Genesis Torres is going to pursue a degree in Health Sciences from the University of Washington, but as of last week she is transferring her college address to Stanford University in California. Genesis’s first step is general health sciences, but her end goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon.
Jacqueline Mendoza Cardenas is off close to home to Wenatchee Valley College. She will be working for a degree in Pediatric Nursing. Jacqueline has been an inspiration to those that know her having adapted to nine homes and 7 school districts before she turned 11 has given her real skill at seeing childhood in many different situations. Her goal in pediatrics will be treasured by all those that are gifted to work with her.
Emma England is heading off to Brigham Young University to follow the educational steps of several family members. Her choice of study will be nursing. With a goal of being a Pedeatric Nurse someday. Emma comes from a family of practicing healthcare professionals. And we are very lucky to have several of them working here in the Chelan Valley.
