We are looking to see if any families are interested in a small social group for this summer.

The group will run for 4 weeks on Wednesdays from 2:30-4:00 pm (with time allotted to have a nut free snack). The sessions would begin on July 26th through August 16th.

We are looking to find 4 children that would be interested in participating in this group. The groups would be fee for service and (paid in full).

Our social peer group will be conducted by two qualified speech-language pathologists. The children in the group will range from 4-6 years of age with mild to moderate social challenges. The social group will be language-based (including a picture schedule and other visual supports as needed). The participants should have receptive and expressive language skills enabling them to follow simple commands and communicate their wants and needs to the clinicians and children in the group. The groups will be play-based as well as using the Social Thinking curriculum: Social Explorers and Social Problem-Solvers.

Some children in the group may not have a documented diagnosis, however, would benefit from this social peer group as well as guidance and couching from the clinicians. We welcome children who have been identified as having profiles including ADHD, high functioning autism, social communication disorder or a Nonverbal Learning Disability. This social group is not designed to assist children who require more intensive support around behavior.
