Of all the challenges we’ve done in the past this is probably the ultimate challenge that everyone needs to be a pro at! 🏆

With this challenge, we are working on addressing the most common postural issues. Forward head carriage forward, rounded shoulders and increased lower back sway.

With this challenge, we are working to keep those three points of contact on the wall at all times.
this is retraining our brain and retraining our muscles to engage in unison to perform a task, which is keeping our posture where it needs to be. 💪

It looks very easy, but in practice, it’s actually quite challenging.
If you are having difficulty with this movement pattern, I usually recommend to work on one area or two areas at a time, for example focusing on the lower back and upper back touching and then working on getting the back of the head and upper back touching before incorporating all of them together. 🧘

If you have difficulty maintaining your posture, and you notice that you have increased upper back and neck pain whenever you are sitting, this is the challenge for you!

A quick challenge for your Christmas week! Get one Sox on at a time while in a squat, it’s harder then it looks 😆

Legs feeling sore and sticky? Need a quick mobility warmup before your next squat day or run? 🏃

Here are a couple of quick mobility moves you can do to get those legs ready for whatever is coming next! 💪

- [ ] Bootstrappers🥾- work to keep those feet flat on the ground, hold onto the front of your toes to help pull yourself into a deep squat and be sure to keep tha chest up!
- [ ] Deep squat with thoracic rotations🧘‍♀️- keep those feet flat on the floor and get to your comfortable squat depth, then rotate to one side, bringing the hand towards the ceiling, pause, then switch. This will help to relieve any upper back stiffness too!
- [ ] Duck 🦆 walk- getting into a deep squat and work to walk yourself forwards. This is tricky one that will challenge your mobility and balance!
- [ ] Duck walk with overhead plate🏋️‍♀️- this version helps you to focus on keeping your chest up and to extend that thoracic spine-this is perfect for any type of overhead lifting you have ahead of you
- [ ] This final stretch you get into a deep squat and you gently shift your weight from side to side. This works the anterior translation of the talus during the squat- in essence this improves your mobility to get deeper into squats- this is way more bang for your buck compared to foam rolling to get better squat depth!

Runner’s hip (aka lateral hip pain) is one of the most common issues we see ramping mileage for the Boston Marathon and is usually a combination of repetitive stress and inflammation of the IT band and bursa.🏃‍♂️💥

In this session we are addressing:
• Joint & soft-tissue restrictions
• Load tolerance through the hip
• Running-specific mechanics

✔️ Targeted cupping therapy to improve tissue mobility & circulation
