The Director of Finance will:
- Oversee all financial management, planning, and compliance for the organization.
- Expand the organization's $5 million budget, in collaboration with the Development Team.

Location: Hybrid (Chelsea, MA)
Compensation: $95,000-$115,000 + benefits
(including 4-day work week as a practice)

The Director of Development will:
- Develop our fundraising strategy.
- Expand the organization's $5 million budget, in collaboration with the Finance Team.

Location: In-person (Chelsea, MA)
Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 + benefits

Una de cada cuatro personas en Chelsea depende de SNAP. Aunque los beneficios de SNAP han sido restaurados, el costo de los alimentos continúa aumentando y las familias en Chelsea y East Boston siguen enfrentando una mayor inseguridad alimentaria.

GreenRoots trabaja para abordar la inseguridad alimentaria involucrando a los miembros de la comunidad en el cultivo, la cosecha y el acceso a productos frescos y culturalmente relevantes en nuestros espacios de agricultura urbana.

Para responder a la escasez causada por la crisis de SNAP y el aumento en los costos de los alimentos, hemos intensificado nuestros esfuerzos, con el apoyo de United Way, para asegurar que las familias de Chelsea y East Boston tengan acceso a productos nutritivos y lácteos. También estamos colaborando con Revival International Center, East Boston Community Soup Kitchen y el New England Produce Center para lograrlo.

¡En solo las últimas 5 semanas, hemos puesto 2.591 libras de alimentos nutritivos en las mesas de familias de Chelsea y East Boston! Esto incluye productos de nuestra Freight Farm hidropónica que cultiva durante todo el año.

One in four Chelsea residents relies on SNAP. While SNAP benefits have been restored, food costs continue to rise, and families in Chelsea and East Boston continue to face increased food insecurity.

GreenRoots works to address food insecurity by engaging community members in growing, harvesting, and accessing fresh, culturally relevant produce at our urban growing spaces.

To address the shortfall caused by the SNAP crisis and increased food costs, we’ve stepped up–with the support of the United Way–our efforts to ensure Chelsea and East Boston families have access to nutritious produce and dairy. And we’re partnering with Revival International Center, East Boston Community Soup Kitchen, and the New England Produce Center to do so!

Over the past 5 weeks alone, we've put 2,591 lbs of nourishing food on the tables of Chelsea & East Boston families!! This includes produce from our year-round hydroponic Freight Farm!

We are meeting this moment in the way we know how: taking care of one another. 💚
