As summer winds down, we’re grateful for simple joys like our multiple trips to Cavanaugh Lake! From sizzling cookouts to laughter by the water, our residents soaked up the sunshine and each other’s company. We definitely enjoyed our summer days - a perfect way to savor the season together!

🎭 From Chelsea to Hamilton: A Shared Adventure

We love heading out to enjoy local productions, and this time our adventure took us to Grand Rapids for "Hamilton" at DeVos Performance Hall. Our travel group included a wonderful mix — residents, family members, friends from the Chelsea Senior Center, and even a few staff who couldn’t resist tagging along.

It was the perfect chance to connect, share laughs, and celebrate the joy of the arts together.

🎪✨ Carnival day at Silver Maples was a feast for the senses—the smell of popcorn in the air, yummy churros in hand, and laughter all around! Residents and staff went head-to-head in a pie-eating contest 🥧, tried their luck at ring toss, lucky ducky, and shoot the can, and won fun prizes along the way. Our incredible staff painted faces, twisted balloon animals, and even volunteered to be brave targets for the pie-throwing contest. And of course, our furry friend Daisy May stole the spotlight with her special performance.

We once again enjoyed being part of the Chelsea Community Fair Livestock Auction! 🐷 This year, Chef Karl proudly took the lead on auction night and walked away with a pig that will be enjoyed by our community. Supporting the local 4-H program and the incredible youth who dedicate so much to their projects is a tradition we’re honored to continue.
