A Special First Ride!

Last week marked the inaugural trip of our brand-new bus for the residents of the Leonard Florence Center for Living! This exciting addition was made possible through the generosity of our dear friends and donors, Frank and Judy Mastrocola. Their kindness and commitment to our mission will make a lasting difference providing greater opportunities for our residents to explore, connect, and enjoy outings in comfort and style.

Residents, staff, and friends gathered to celebrate this special moment, and the smiles said it all. We are deeply grateful to the Mastrocolas for making this dream a reality.

We’re proud to share how the Leonard Florence Center for Living and the Chelsea Fire Department are strengthening safety and protection for our community.

Recently, Chief John Quatieri and Captain Joe Conlon met with our Legacy Lifecare leadership—including Adam Ernst, Mr. Berman, Mrs. Mullen, Jeff Lind, Kristen Donnelly, and Ginny Person—to review fire safety protocols and procedures at the Leonard Florence Center. Their continued commitment ensures we uphold the highest standards in fire safety—especially in response to the tragic events in Fall River.

Adam Ernst shared, “We are fortunate to have such a responsive, skilled and dedicated fire department… we are eternally grateful for their support.” Chief Quatieri and Captain Conlon also commended the facility's rigorous safety measures.

Together, we’re committed to ongoing collaboration and open dialogue—delivering unmatched fire safety protection for our residents and staff.

Residents Beat the Heat with a Beach Day to Remember!

We are delighted to share the following news clip and articles on 14 residents from Cohen Florence Levine Estates who spent an unforgettable day at Revere Beach, where floating wheelchairs, sing-alongs, games, and ocean crossings helped everyone cool off and reconnect with cherished memories.

For many residents, this annual trip is a highlight—offering the simple joy of sand under their feet and water on their toes. Residents ranged from age 75 to 100 and reflected on how much they’ve missed these summer moments.

We’re halfway through our Summer Concert Series, and last week Smokin’ Joe and the Henchmen brought the house down! Residents and staff from Cohen Florence Levine Estates and Florence & Chafetz were front and center—dancing, laughing, and soaking up every beat.

The energy was electric, and the entire Admiral’s Hill campus was alive with music, joy, and community spirit!

Congratulations to Charley, a resident of Cohen Florence Levine Estates Assisted Living, for winning the Resident Spirit Award at the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (Mass-ALA) Awards Dinner!

Charley is truly the heart of our community—always lending a hand with activities, lifting spirits with his humor and kindness, and spreading joy to everyone he meets. Watching him accept the award and receive a standing ovation was nothing short of inspiring.

Now living what he calls “the best part of his life,” Charley reminds us all what it means to live with purpose and positivity. As he wisely says:
“Take care of yourself. The rest is good genes and good luck.”

We couldn’t be prouder. Let’s keep the spirit alive—Charley-style—every single day!

The iconic Nubble Lighthouse—officially Cape Neddick Light—stands brilliantly perched on a rocky islet off Sohier Park in York. Built in 1879 and automated in 1987, it remains one of the most photographed lighthouses in New England.

Residents from The Estates on Admiral’s Hill took in the stunning views before warming up with lunch at The Weathervane. This beloved seafood spot serves up clam chowder, lobster rolls, haddock sandwiches, and more.

To top off the perfect day, we stopped at Hodgies Ice Cream in Amesbury for a scoop. The creamy, classic flavors were the perfect ending!

The residents at The Estates on Admiral’s Hill look forward to welcoming Camp Yavneh every year—and this year was no exception!

Around 70 campers brought joy and smiles as they performed for our community and spent time engaging with residents. The intergenerational connection was truly heartwarming, and we’re so grateful for this meaningful tradition.
