🏀 Basketball Is a Great Workout… But It’s Tough on Your Body

Fast breaks. Hard stops. Big jumps.
Basketball asks a lot from your joints, muscles, and spine — and we see the same injuries over and over again.

Here are the 10 most common basketball injuries and how they usually happen 👇

1. Ankle Sprains
Landing on someone else’s foot or rolling an ankle when cutting or rebounding.

2. ACL Tears
Quick pivots, sudden stops, or landing from a jump with the knee collapsing inward.

3. Jumper’s Knee (Patellar Tendinitis)
Constant jumping, especially without enough recovery.

4. Meniscus Tears
Twisting on a planted foot while defending or changing direction.

5. Hamstring Strains
Sprinting the court or taking off cold without a proper warm-up.

6. Achilles & Calf Injuries
Explosive push-offs, jumping, and fast starts.

7. Low Back Pain
Repeated bending, twisting, and fatigue as the game goes on.
