To qualify for this position, you must be able to perform the qualifications above and multitask as a team player. Medical assistant experience preferred.

You're not just the office manager who keeps this office running smoothly. You're the heart of it all- the soul of our office. We are screaming the happiest of birthdays to our amazing nurse and office manager, Brandy!
Your dedication to patients and staff, your calm presence, and even on the most chaotic days, and your unwavering support have made an impact on ALL of us! You lead this team with compassion and strength, qualities that go hand-in-hand in a place like ours, where care is everything. Beyond the job, you've been more than a leader. You've been a friend, a sister, an aunt and mom. Someone who checks in on all of us whenever we're down, celebrates our victories, and knows how to turn a stressful moment into a laughing, memorable one. (We have plenty of those stories...)

Who better to start our introductions other than the man, myth and legend himself (we kid 🤣).However, he is the reason we are all here. As the owner and main provider here at Chelsea Urgent Care, Dr. Edward Payson Daugherty has been an integral piece of Chelsea's health care community since 2002. In 1996, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Birmingham Baptist System and expanded his practice into Emergency Medicine, Primary Care, and Sport Medicine. He earned a Doctorate in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Cardiac Rehabilitation from West Virginia University in
1986. In addition, he currently sits as an Oral Examiner for the AAPS Emergency Medicine Board Examinations.

Dr. Daugherty and his wife have raised three successful children and adore spending time with their grandchildren. He enjoys all outside activities, especially hunting, and tending to their land and horses. He and Mrs. Nell are also active within their community and church.

We here at Chelsea Urgent Care admire Dr. Daugherty’s compassion and "family-like" care for others. We can count on him to bring the dad jokes and state out the ironically obvious things that never fail to make us laugh. We are greatful to have a provider who not only is a boss but a leader!
