1st Thursdays: October 2 | 3:00-5:00pm
$18 class fee + option to have your piece fired for $5
Pre-registration required
Monthly community open art space! All ages and levels welcome to explore and play with clay in this ceramics open-studio. Each session will begin with a 15min demo by facilitator Heidi with basic instruction for construction methods, attachments, and technical considerations. Each session will have a specific form demonstrated, however participants are encouraged toward self-guided exploration and experimentation in this low-stakes, process focused workshop!

Participants will have the option at the end to have their pieces glazed & fired - $5/piece paid directly to the instructor at the end of class. Pieces available for pickup at Safe Art approx 3-4 weeks later, or at the next monthly session.

Open Art Space! Thursdays 3-5pm at SafeArt. All ages and skills welcome! Bring a project or not. Art supplies and SafeArt staff are on hand for support. $5 donation.

The Spring Carnival is rain or shine!!! This Saturday, June 7th on the Chelsea North Common Green and inside SafeArt - join us for a full day of activities. We have all day arts and some scheduled - check out the schedule and map! Reminder there are also free creemees to the first 100 carnival attendees! We can’t wait to share with you some of the ways SafeArt creates community.

Getting ready for the first annual Spring Carnival!! We are just a week away from a full day of art making, wellness, community, music and fun!

Susan, Misch, and Cleopatra painted reused/recycled signs that Johanna picked up from a friend. Thanks friends for helping us!

Cleopatra picked up giant jenga that a neighbor is letting us borrow to add to our yard games!

We stopped by our friends at who donated a really lovely assortment of veg, herb, and flower starts. Then said hello to Amy at Reading Greenhouse for zucchini and yellow squash babes to add to the plant sale!!

So many folks are coming together to create this community event - it really does take a village… and we are grateful!

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday June 7th!

Yesterday, Cleopatra and their Mom drove all over the Upper Valley picking up plant donations for the PLANT SALE at the Spring Carnival! We visited where Valerie helped fill our car with beautiful veggie starts. Then off to for flowers 🌺 After we unloaded the car at SafeArt, we visited for a variety of veg and flowers. We stopped by and Chris helped us fill our car with herbs!! It smelled so nice!! Unloaded once again then said hi to our friend Diane at who shared a variety of veg, herb, and flower starts ✨ We still have a few farm friends to say hi to - and wow 🤩 we’ve got some gorgeous things to share with you on June 7th! Please stop by and purchase some plants to add to your garden. All the $$$ we make will go directly into our art programs for the community. BEYOND GRATEFUL and excited to share the day with you in just over a week. ❤️
