💩 feeling a bit backed up?

💩 not having regular bowel movements (meaning you p**p a solid 1-3 times per day with ease) can leave you feeling sluggish, congested, + bloated • and can eventually lead to health issues in the rest of the body ☹️

💩 reasons for constipation can include:
• dehydration
• lack of movement
• too little fiber in diet
• poor food choices
• stress
• medications
• parasites + other infections

💩the first things i talk about with clients yes who struggle with constipation are hydration 💧, food choices + stress management • what we put into our body matters bc it’s feeding the microbiome that keeps it all going • getting enough of the right kinds of nutrients + fiber is key to a healthy digestive tract • and living in stress + trying to digest food do not go well together • you cannot be in rest + digest AND fight or flight at the same time • i’m looking at you if you’re always rushing to eat or eating on the go 👀

💩 other tools to help with constipation are:
• ginger tea + magnesium (both are prokinetics that help keep bowels moving)
• water e***as + colonics (to flush out waste + lower toxic load in colon)

💩there’s no magic pill that’s going to solve your constipation • but you have LOTS of tools that you can incorporate every day to help get things moving • you’ll be amazed how much better you feel once your p**ping 😉

👉 DRAINAGE TIPS • as a follow up to my last post, here’s some simple things you can do to open up drainage pathways in the body • we are meant to be eliminating waste regularly through the 5 main elimination pathways: colon, kidneys, skin, lungs, and uterus

💧 HYDRATION: drink half your body weight in ounces of clean, filtered water daily

💦 SWEAT: use a sauna or move your body so your body can produce sweat to eliminate toxins + heavy metals

🚴🏽‍♀️ EXERCISE: move your body every day. regular exercise gets the circulation going + help move the lymphatic system.

🧴CASTOR OIL PACKS: help support the liver. the liver often gets overburdened by the toxic load in the body.

🛁 EPSOM SALT BATHS: can help you sweat, improve circulation, and help move the lymph.

🖐DRY BRUSHING: gets the lymphatic system moving (it’s the sewer system of the body)

☠️ LIMIT EXPOSURE: limit chemicals in water, pesticides in foods, and toxins in beauty products + cleaning supplies

💧 want to feel better? the most important thing i’ve learned in my healing journey is that DRAINAGE is EVERYTHING • and almost every single client i see has a drainage issue that could use some support

💧 WHAT IS DRAINAGE? • it is a complex system of organs, vessels, and tissues that eliminate wastes from the body in a specific order • it includes cells, organs, tissues, the lymphatic system, the liver, the bile ducts, + the colon • the drainage pathway can be visualized like a funnel, meaning that if any point along the body’s drainage pathway is clogged or stagnant, all drainage from that point on is compromised • this is why drainage must always be addressed before you do any detoxing or cleansing

💧 we’ve all heard the phrase “you are what you eat” • but that’s not the entire story • we may be what we eat, but we are also what we don’t eliminate • when the body’s drainage pathways aren’t functioning properly, toxins and wastes accumulate in the body, many of which become reabsorbed • overtime, this stagnation and toxic build up leads to dysfunction in the body systems • this is when we begin to see symptoms in the body

💧 TIPS FOR IMPROVING DRAINAGE: get your body flowing • are you p**ping, peeing, sweating? • is your circulation moving? • are you breathing deeply? • in order to be properly eliminating, your blood, sweat, urine, waste, bile, lymph, and breath must be flowing • stagnation breeds disease

💧💧 let’s talk minerals • remineralization is something i discuss with every client in my clinic • we lose some vital minerals during detox practices like colonics, coffee e***as, + sweating • adding minerals into our drinking water helps increase energy by replacing and balancing soluble minerals in the body fluids

💧💧 even without detox practices, most of us can benefit from adding minerals into our water • re-mineralized water quenches thirst better, tastes better and is absorbed by your body faster because they are in their electrolyte or ionic form

💧💧it is especially important to add minerals to reverse osmosis (RO), distilled, and even some purified bottled waters, because they are often stripped of minerals • water filtration keep our water safe but can deplete it of its minerals

Prepping my weekly liver love. When I stopped chasing symptoms/diagnoses and started focusing on internal cleansing, I got my life back. And now it's a lifestyle for me and my family. 💧💧 but sometimes, you could feel sluggish, sleepy, or a bit off, especially if you have quite a bit of build up waste/toxins inside • this is a sign that your body really needs this • this is why follow up sessions are SO important • sometimes a series of colonics is needed to really clear out the colon 💧💩💧💩

💧💧 because colonics are more than just a physical release, you may also feel emotional or exhausted • crying is normal after a colonic and is just another form of cleansing 🥲

💧💧 never underestimate the value of a simple water e***a • while colonics are ideal for cleansing out the entire 5 feet of the colon, doing a water e***a at home has so many benefits

💧💧 water e***as are great for first time e***a people

💧💧 water e***as clear out the lower part of the colon, called the descending colon • this can help relieve bloating + feeling of fullness • it also creates space in the colon for more waste to pass through

💧💧 water e***as create downward movement • due to dehydration, less than ideal food choices, stress, parasites/infections, etc, the colon can get sluggish • water e***as help stimulate the colon to keep moving

💧💧 regular water e***as can be a super helpful tool when dealing with constipation 💧💩💧

💧💧 no, colonics should never be painful • you may feel a gentle pressure, as well as a feeling of deep release several times throughout the procedure as the impacted waste is broken down and flushed from your body, • you may feel some temporary cramping as the water runs into gas or impacted stool • this is immediately relieved as the waste and gas is expelled • some clients experience a slight bit of nausea which goes away as water + waste is flushed out 💧💩💧

➡️ your body is ALWAYS communicating with you • little symptoms don’t just happen • they are your body’s way of signaling that something is OUT OF BALANCE • when we ignore little warning signs, the body will eventually begin to scream louder

➡️ fatigue, anxiety, depression, headaches, rashes, brain fog, gas/bloating, constipation, hair loss, food allergies, irritability, insomnia, body pain, etc are all warning signs that something DEEPER is going on • it’s is not NORMAL to be experiencing these things

➡️ is your body trying to tell you something? • are you LISTENING? • take it from me, it’s better to pay attention NOW rather than trying to back-pedal to regain your health • after losing my health 9 years ago, i can look back + see the little warning signs my body was giving me WAY before i crashed • i was so busy being mama, building my career, living a busy life • it took getting really sick in order for me to start looking into the root cause(s) of my symptoms • grateful for what i’ve learned along the way • and grateful to have my health back ❤️

➡️ stagnant water breeds bacteria • stagnant air breeds pollution • a stagnant mind breeds depression and discouragement • the same goes for the body • when the fluids in the body aren’t flowing, the body goes out of balance

➡️ the main function of the kidneys is the excretion of body wastes and harmful chemicals into the urine • when we are dehydrated, this doesn’t happen and toxins begin to build up

➡️ sweating is a form of detoxification • research has found that there are more toxins excreted in the sweat than in the blood and urine • if our sweat pathways are blocked or we don’t sweat regularly, toxins begin to build up

➡️ bile is produced in the liver and stored in the gall bladder • when bile gets sluggish from an increased toxic load in the body, we get gall stones • sludgy bile and gall stones are the main reason so many people have to get their gall bladder removed

➡️ the colon is another drainage pathway • when transit time is slow, food purifies and creates toxins • waste then builds up in the colon and inhibits the health of our microbiome

➡️ the lungs are another elimination pathway • every time we inhale, we take in oxygen to nourish our cells • every time we exhale we eliminate part of the body’s waste in the form of carbon dioxide • when we breathe in a shallow way, toxins build up and our cells do not get the oxygen they need, leaving us feeling fatigued and with brain fog

💧💧 as we enter the season of indulgence... let’s talk about the colon • we are basically made up of what we digest, absorb, + eliminate • the colon is one of the main avenues of elimination in the body • our drainage pathways have an order in which they move waste out of the body - like a funnel • if one of the pathways is blocked, every pathways above will not be able to drain properly

💧💧 the drainage funnel :

⬇️ cells
⬇️ organs + tissues
⬇️ lymphatic system
⬇️ liver + bile ducts
⬇️ colon

💧 everything you eat, drink, breathe, + put on your body ends up in the bowels • there was a time in history when knowledge of bowel care was more widespread + people were taught how to take care of the bowel • somehow we have forgotten + now digestive issues like gas, bloating, + constipation are rampant • people struggle with low energy, acne, brain fog, depression, + body pain • let’s get back to the root of vital health • let’s get back to healthy eating habits, adequate movement/exercise, lots of fresh air/sunshine, + proper care of our bowels (elimination of waste from the body) • because we are all just the total sum of what we ingest, absorb, + eliminate ❤️
